No More David Brent

This characterful workspace in the heart of St Albans was designed in collaboration with workplace consultancy Area as a flexible, ready to rent environment for those seeking something with warmth and personality.

I led the full interior design across the entire scheme, including the entrance reception and four individual office suites. The intention was to challenge the stale, soulless norm of traditional office design and demonstrate that workplaces can be inspiring, comfortable and full of individuality.

To achieve this, I worked with local artisans, independent suppliers and antique dealers to source unique pieces and design bespoke joinery. Many elements were upcycled or repurposed to minimise waste while adding depth and texture.

The result is a layered, design led workspace that feels grounded, creative and far removed from the generic office blueprint. It offers a more considered and human approach to how we design spaces to work.
